He was predeceased by: his spouse Valija Hafners; his son Aigars; his granddaughter Lisa (Jay); his son-in-law John; and his stepfather Ervin Wegner.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ruth (Colin) and Liga; his grandson Chris (Shari); and his great grandchildren, Asher and Brynn.
