He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Tony Brower and Jennie Brower (Berens); his wife Elaine Duimstra; his children, Sally Post (Kurt), Patti Callahan (Jamie), Julie Vander Woude (John) and Dean Brower (Deb); his sister Alma Jean Keppel (Jim); and his parents-in-law, Dorothy Brower, Gordon Duimstra (Connie) and William Duimstra (Sharon). He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.
