He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Burgess and Margaret Burgess (Tomlinson); his children, Susie, Janet and Gene; his grandchildren, Troy and Melissa; and his brothers, Rolland and Allen.
He is survived by: his son Bruce (Fran Burgess); his grandchildren, Todd (Sandy Smith), Theresa (Bret Legler), Barry (Amy Burgess), Holly (Anthony Dulimba) and Adam (Jamie Burgess); his sister Ruth Bowles; and his daughter-in-law Beverly Burgess. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren, two great-great granddaughters.
