He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kathryn "Kathy"; his son Peter McCarter; his siblings, Rick McCarter (Maureen), Marilyn Messina (Anthony) and Larry McCarter (Barb); his sisters-in-law, Pam Spaven (Roger) and Marsha Herlick (Gary); his aunts and uncles, Margaret "Honey" Demmer and Terry Upton; and his mothers, Frances McCarter and Katie Upton.
