He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul C. Hughes and Mary Helen Hughes (O'Mara); his son Paul Steven Hughes; and his sister Margaret. He is survived by: his wife Marlene; his children, Erin Joseph, Barbara Kay and John Paul; his grandchildren, Gavin, Samuel, Hailey, Aidan, Owen, Bradley and Matthew; and his siblings, Patrick, Julianna and Paula.
