He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest E. Guess and May Nora Cross (Dowell); his spouse Janit H. Kaake; his siblings, Shirley Kaswell (Guess) and Larry Guess; his son Michael Guess; and his great grandchild Randall Douglas Hughes, Jr..
He is survived by: his sons, Mitchell Guess of Kingman, AZ, Matthew Guess of Galesburg and Mark Guess (Patty) of Howard City, MI; his siblings, Betty Guess, Jerry and Robert Guess; and his daughter-in-law Joleen Guess. He is also survived by several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
