He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Schmalz and Dorothy Schmalz; and his brothers, Ron and Jim. He is survived by: his brothers, Garry Schmalz, Dave Schmalz and Deb Schmalz; and his nieces and nephews, Evan, Missy, Trevor, Michael, Sarah, Amanda and Nick. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts and cousins.
