She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband John Robert Kirwan; her siblings-in-law, Joseph Kirwan (Mary Ellen), Frank and Elizabeth Jeannette Pinkelman (Kirwan); her daughters, Mary Helyn, Kathleen McMillen (Brett) and Colleen Brady (Michael); and her siblings, Marianne Collins Brennan and John Michael Collins. She was also cherished by many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church (133 Orchard Dr, Northville, MI 48167).

Donations can be made in memory of Helen to the nuns of the Monastery of the Blessed Sacrament, who have been a comfort and blessing to Helen throughout her life.
