He was predeceased by: his parents, Polly Pinneo Gesick and Edward John Gesick; and his brother William Henry Gesick. He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Canfield (Jeff), Laura Gesick (Theron), Christine Long (Allen) and Patrick Gesick; and his grandchildren, Cole Canfield, Cameron, Griffin Carlin, Sophie, Graham, Claire, Amelia Long, Abigael and Blaise Gesick. He is also survived by his niece and many friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Joy Lutheran Church (416 Dolle Ave, Seguin, TX 78155).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Heritage Museum of Seguin and Guadalupe County, his passion project, 114 North River St., Seguin, Texas, 78155.
