He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Schafer and Bonnie Schafer. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jon Schafer (Mary) and Lori Greco (Ken); and his great grandchildren, Brady Schafer (Alyssa Albaugh), Brenna Garcia (Phil) and Kendall Greco (Dave Martin).
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home & Cremation Services (2125 12 Mile Rd, Berkley, MI 48072). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Roseland Park Cemetery (29001 Woodward Ave, Berkley, MI 48072).
