He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Van Dyke; his parents, Alan and Rose; and his siblings, Jerry and Phyllis.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Deneau (Brenda) and Shelley Dowland (Gary); his grandchildren, Pat (Crista) and Liz Osantoski (Nick); his great grandchildren, Aubrey, Shelby, Isla and Penelope; and his sister Lois. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
