He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Wenzel and Betty Wenzel (Swanson); and his brother James "Boots" Wenzel Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Debby; his children, Leigh Ann Dighera of Kingsford, Tim Wenzel (Sarah) of Granite Bluff, Sarah Bates of Appleton and Matt Wenzel of Negaunee; his grandchildren, Kate, Grant, Morgan, Jane, Claire, Lydia and Jack; his siblings, Noreen Christesen of Kingsford and Ronald Wenzel of Norway; and his nephew Tom Christesen (Deanna) of Granite Bluff. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
