He was predeceased by: his parents, Helmer Johnson and Elsie Johnson (Roy); his daughter Candy Thomas; his brother Curt Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Ferdinand Girard and Marion Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Shirlee Ross; his children, David Johnson (Carol) and Wendy Yoder (Doyle); his son-in-law Dale Thomas; his grandchildren, Julie Williams (Scott), Dan Johnson (Angela), Harley Miller, Jake Miller (Scott Baccus), Abe Yoder (Ruthie), Amanda Yoder and Jordon Thomas (Keeley); and his sister Marilyn Girard. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
