She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Hallgren and Amelia Hallgren (Zanon). She is survived by: her husband Ronald "Joe" Vachon; her sisters, Constance Hallgren and Mary Larson (Raymond); her nieces and nephews, Sandra Wendlandt (Keith), Janet Reimann (Bob), Nancy Kwiesielewicz (Chester), Mary E. Hallgren, Amelia Zastava (David), Brent Hallgren (Juleen), Brian Hallgren (Elaine), Eric Thielhelm (Monica) and Paul Thielhelm (Mary Lynn); and her siblings-in-law, Don Vachon (Myra), Phillip Vachon (Barb) and Yvonne Boehnlein.
The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church in Norway, in Char's name.
