With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darrell Blakeman of Norvell, Michigan, who passed away on February 1, 2021 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Darrell Blakeman to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Blakeman and Bertha Fern Blakeman (Pittman); his former wife Evelyn (Schmitz); his siblings, Beverly Merz and Dale Blakeman; and his siblings-in-law, LeRoy Schmitz and Norma Reese (Norman).
He is survived by: his wife Nila Blakeman (Moses); his children, Mark Blakeman (Karen) and Wendy Foster (Michael); his stepchildren, Brian Carpenter (Brenda) and Cheryl Potter (Tim); his grandchildren, Harvey Blakeman, Todd Carpenter (Rachel), Bethany Johnson (Nathan), Travis Hath, Hannah Potter and Silas Potter; and his siblings-in-law, Gerry Merz and Kaye Blakeman. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Due to Covid restrictions, there will be no visitation and private family invitation only services will be held at Community Bible Church, 8400 Sharon Hollow Road, Manchester on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 11:00 am with Pastor Ron Clark officiating.
For those who wish, contributions may be given in Darrell's memory to Youth Haven Ranch in Rives Junction or the American Red Cross.
