He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rude and Minnie Rude (Husby); his son Douglas; and his siblings, Ernest, Arthur and Lois Snyder.
He is survived by: his wife Dolly; his children, Dawn Rude (Jim Stuberg), Lynne Twining and Bruce Rude (Cheryl Tanouye) of Berkeley, CA; and his grandchildren, Kavi Rumishou and Paige Twining.
