He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alexander Collison and Mary E. Collison; his wife Betty Harris; his children, Judith Ann Ross (Mike), Timothy J. Collison (Gloria) and Thomas A. Collison (Debi); and his grandchildren, Lisa Feldmeier (Dave), Marcy Ross (Josh Griffith), Michael Scott Collison (Sarah), Heather Fletcher (Steve) and Jamie Campbell (Shane). He was also cherished by 11 great-grandchildren.
