He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Ward and Edna Ward (Chandler); his siblings, Larry, Dale, Bob Ward, Delores Garrett and Arlene Schmuck; and his brother-in-law Charles Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Lee Ortquist; his children, Mark Ward of Muskegon, Denise Thomas (Bob) of Muskegon and Steven Ward (Cheryl) of Muskegon; his grandchildren, Corey Thomas (Nick), Courtney Thomas, Derek McDaniel (Jenn), Trevor McDaniel (Shannon) and Gabrielle Ward; his great grandchild Matilda Nelund-McDaniel; and his siblings-in-law, Don Garrett of Nashville, MI, Ron Schmuck of Muskegon, Anita Ward of Muskegon, Carol Ward of Muskegon and Jackie Martin of Muskegon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
