He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Vanderwest and Gladys Vanderwest (Turner); and his brother Jim Vanderwest. He is survived by: his daughter Teresa Reames (Greg); his grandsons, Garrett and Gavin Reames; and his brother Tom Vanderwest (Sharon).
