He is survived by: his wife Debra Beets (Strang); his children, Michael and Mandy Beets; his grandchildren, Madisyn, Korson and Hensleigh; his stepparents, Hershel Lawrence and Becky Beets; his father-in-law Richard Strang (Sil); his siblings, Traci Miron (Chris), Wendy Convey, Angela Powers (John), Larry Beets (Lisa), Kevin Beets (April), Greg Beets, David Beets (Kim) and Tom Fitzgerald (Amy); and his siblings-in-law, Dick Strang, Steve Strang (Deb), Chuck Bates (Cherie), Carol Tucker (Joe) and Robin Norwick (C. J.). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
