He is survived by: his parents, Clair Smithers and Janice Smithers (Hacker); his significant other Bob Launs; his spouse Sandra Hall; his children, Heather Rosenzweig (Jason) of Rockford and Jason Smithers (Lindsay) of Hudsonville; his stepchildren, Amy Bajema of Grand Rapids, David Bowne, Jr. of Muskegon and Michael Bowne of Hesperia; his sister Connie Oles (John) of Ludington; his mother-in-law Donna Hall of Muskegon; and his siblings-in-law, Peggy Williams (Michael) of Arizona and Harold Hall (Shelley) of Norton Shores.
