He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Waldo Butzow and Helen Butzow (Ignatowski); his wife Barbara Lee Butzow; his children, Linda Cole (Stephen) and Mark Andrew Butzow; his grandchildren, Andrew and Ava Butzow; his brother Greg Butzow (Carol); and his brothers-in-law, Richard Gyebnar (Sue) and William Gibner (Barbara). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

For a more lasting memory, donations in Manuel's name can be made to either the Land Conservancy of West Michigan or Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
