She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Ruge and Lelia Ruge (Bean); her husband John Shavalier; her daughter Rhonda Smith; and her siblings, Lila Olmstead, Lillian Ruth, Louis Ruge and Lyle Ruge.
She is survived by: her children, Russel Shavalier (Ann), Rocky Shavalier (Tammy) and Monte Shavalier; and her brother Layton Ruge (June). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
