She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Kroeze and Evelyn Kroeze (Burge); her husband Edwin N. "Ed" Vanderlaan; her son-in-law George Berg; and her sister Beverly Walhout.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sandra Jensen (Scott), Debra Berg, Pamela Poort (Les) and Lori Weesies (Brent); her grandchildren, Jamie Cady (Kevin), Matthew Koekkoek (Abby), Nathan Koekkoek (Melissa), Betsy Labatt (Nate), Sarah Wangerin (Chad), Emily Jensen, Andrew Jensen (Caroline), Jennifer Couture (Brandon), Jessica Rider (Kyle), Chad Weesies (Leah), Trevor Poort (Ashley) and Kailey Fulton (Doug); and her sister Shirley VanHees. She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild.
