He was predeceased by: his parents, Kerold Chesney and Helen Chesney (Manley); his brother Robert Chesney; and his father-in-law George Alexander (Marcia). He is survived by: his wife Susan Chesney; his children, Charlie Chesney (Lauren) and Leigh Eckerman (Jamie); his siblings, Michael Chesney (Susan), Susan Carew (Kevin) and Jim Chesney (Chrissy); and his parents-in-law, Rose Alexander, David Alexander (Pam) and Milan Alexander (Debbie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Jon may be directed to the West Michigan Symphony or the Muskegon Museum of Art.
