She was predeceased by: her husband Gary Joel Sandberg; her parents, William Dowdy and Betty Dowdy (Sidock); her son Maurice "Bud" Vanderstelt; and her siblings, Rosemary Barrett, Wilma Gilmore and Billy Dowdy.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sheila Sandberg and Beth Ann Aebig (Tim); her grandchildren, Shelby Hanchera (Cameron Scola), Hannah Aebig and Ryan Aebig (Madison Shumaker); and her siblings, Joanne Porter, Mike Dowdy (Doris), Randy Dowdy (Ranoda) and Tony Dowdy (Cathy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
