He was predeceased by: his parents, Ward Buckner and Josephine Buckner (Vacek); his wife Joan F. Bytwerk; his daughter Rhonda Buckner; and his siblings, Virginia King, Duane Buckner and Robert Buckner.
He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Boisvert (Dan), Deb Taylor (Tom), Roger Buckner, Andy Buckner (Teri), Sherry Wierenga (John) and Shirley Martz (Rob); and his brothers, Elroy Buckner (Linda) and Dennis "Butch" Buckner. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
