He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Johnson and Judith Johnson of White Cloud; his brother Dave; and his sister-in-law Pat. He is survived by: his wife Katharina Proebst; his children, Maria Hood (Bill), John Johnson (Sue), Jane Helsen (Tony), Mark Johnson (Kathy) and Jim Johnson (Jeanine); his grandchildren, Bryan Johnson, Sara Elsner (Aaron), Nic Johnson (Samara), Megan Hamilton (Jake), Kristin Grycki (Brian), Adam Johnson (Mallory) and Alyssa Walburg (Luke); his great grandchildren, Kyna, Amelia, Grace, Ariana, Keegan, Cora, Max, Maggie, Charlotte and Ozzy; and his sister Ruth Gravengood (Roger). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
