She was predeceased by: her parents, Melbourne Harrison and Roberta Harrison (McAtee); her husband William Carpenter; her daughter Penny J. DuPont; her stepson Richard Carpenter; and her stepfather Morris Johnson.
She is survived by: her former spouse Thomas R. Batchelor; her sons, Terry L. Batchelor (Marcia) and Timothy K. Batchelor (Carmen); her grandchildren, Joshua Batchelor, Heather Lee (Chad), Haley Batchelor and Hannah Tejchma (Trevor); her brother Robert C. Johnson (Robin); her stepchildren, Nancy D. Doctor (Steve) and Laurel A. Pitynski (Ted); her stepdaughter-in-law Cindy Carpenter; and her stepgrandchildren, Chrissy Obzut (Harley), Katie Morgan (Andrew), Bethany Heystek (Nicholas), Brittney Lyons (John), Paige Pitynski and Sydney Pitynski. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
