“The photos are from the Memorial Service held by Sharon’s adoptive family in Sharon’s honor. We knew Sharon after her accident that caused life long disabilities. She looked to us for love & support. Sharon considered me her adoptive sister, my mother her adoptive mom, & my brother her adoptive brother. Our family was there during Sharon’s triumphs & struggles. She spent holidays, birthdays with us as well as times of sadness. Sharon enjoyed attending church, spending time with those she loved, her animals, reading, & writing. She was truly a beautiful soul that is missed. Sharon your precious babies are doing well, but miss you. We all miss & love you very much. I miss being able to talk to you almost everyday, & doing things with you. I still feel you in my heart & will never forget you. You were far more then a friend. You were definitely part of our family & that will never change. I know you are our angel above. Love, your adoptive family”

“To: My baby sister You have no idea how much emptiness there is in my heart. The pain of knowing I can never speak to you again is unbearable. You have always amazed me with your talents, kindness and generosity. Even though we had our differences, we always had each other. You were always there for me, and I was always there for you. That we always knew and depended on. The last we spoke, we told each other how much we loved each other, and that was from our hearts. Nothing would or could ever change that and It still is today. You have always made me proud, from graduating with your BA in Human Resources, to being a pilot or a real estate broker. You were a restless soul seeking a place. Finally, you found it when you, converted back to Catholicism, just like mom. You were happy. Your new found friends made you complete. You found your place. I do believe everything has a meaning. We found our brother after more than 10 years a day before you left us. He spoke to you and I do hope you heard him. We three were always close in the beginning and will be to the end. I will love you forever my baby sister.”

Samantha Kuehl wrote a sympathy message

“I was a pen pal of hers through an online book lovers website called Litsy. We exchanged several cards and letters. She was a wonderful person. I’ll never forget on one of my darker days about a year and a half ago, I came home to a surprise package from her with 2 books. No special reason, she sent them just from the kindness of her heart. It made that day so much better and I will cherish them always. I’ll always remember her kindness and generosity.”

“Sharon was a great former co-worker back when we both worked at Bank One (JP Morgan Chase) as recruiters. Unfortunately after her accident at U of M she was never the same person as she was before.. But she was still always a great friend. Sharon loved her animals and had several. I'll never forget on day she walked into work with a HUGE scratch across her ENTIRE forehead. Her cat had gotten scared and jumped off the window and ran across her face. But she still loved that cat! ~ Julie”

Pamela Matthews wrote a sympathy message

“Sharon was a close friend who was very caring and often made me laugh just by being around her. I have known her for over 20 years and for 5 of them she was my neighbor, living in the same condo complex as me. She enjoyed writing short stories and reading human interest and Science Fiction, and also enjoyed playing with her animals and going on hikes. Late in Sharon had a great interest in Catholicism, and her newfound faith helped her to get through many of life's hardships. She will be missed!”
