With solemn reverence, we commemorate Rita Marie Byrd of Northville, Michigan, whose life came to an end on November 14, 2024 at the age of 96, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Ralph; her husband Robert G. Byrd; her son Jay Byrd; and her brothers, Lester Hunt and Ralph Hunt.

She is survived by: her children, Bobbi Byrd, Tom Byrd (Ilene), Nancy Angelella (Phil), Chris Byrd (Karen), Denise Calahan (Joe White), Paddy Bates (Howard), Mike Byrd (Christine) and Steve Byrd (Vicki Clark); her grandchildren, Andy Byrd (Lucy), Carianne Meystrik (Chris), Derek Byrd, Ryan Byrd, Tony Angelella, Gina Angelella (Joel White), Tom Angelella, Melissa Goodyer (Dan Peterson), Justin Gorby (Rachel), Morgan Byrd, Julia Byrd and Olivia Byrd; her great grandchildren, Charlie, Matthew, Katie Rose, Jacob, Rebecca, Graceanne, Jonathan, Nadia, Mack and Rosalia; her great great grandchild Quint; and her friend Louise Sutton (Mary Alice Mead).

The lying in state will be held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church (133 Orchard Dr, Northville, MI 48167). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
