She was predeceased by: her parents, Alan Nurmi and Irene Nurmi (Paulin). She is survived by: her husband David Zurek; her children, Nick Zurek (Sascha), Michael Zurek (Alli), Jonathan Zurek (Nichole), Hannah Zurek, Benjamin Zurek, Samuel Zurek and Jacob Zurek; her grandchildren, Gavin, Evalynn, Scarlett, Mason, Makenna, Jason, Kaylie, Matthew and Daniel; her siblings, Marc Nurmi (Janet), Debra Matheny (Mark) and John Nurmi (Mary); her mother-in-law Bernice Zurek; and her siblings-in-law, Mike Zurek (Marilyn), Dennis Zurek (Noreen), Mark Zurek, John Zurek, Jeff Zurek and Helen Zurek (Eric Holtrop).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church (14175 Farmington Rd, Livonia, MI 48154).
