Karen E. Saxton Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen E. Saxton of Northville, Michigan, who passed away on February 13, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Toivo Elsila and Edna Elsila (Laitinen); her husband Gerald N. Saxton; her grandson Tyler Grant; her siblings, Kevin Elisla and Debbie Sinelli; and also Andrea.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Rutherford (Roy), Sue Diedrick (Dave) and Steve Grant; her stepdaughter Laura Bingham (Richard); her grandchildren, Cole Rutherford (Lindsey), Jordan Diedrick, Haley Diedrick, Blake Rutherford, Brendan Bingham, Mackenzie Czarnota (Nate), Hannah Grant and Kayla Bingham; her great grandchild Valerie Rutherford; and her brothers, Rick Elsila (Sandy) and Paul Elsila. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Casterline Funeral Home (122 W Dunlap St, Northville, MI 48167). A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to Cancer Cartel (https://cancercartel.org), a cause that Karen loved.
