It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Emily G. Barbish of Northville, Michigan, who passed away on February 9, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Antoni Polakowski and Wladyslawa Polakowski (Silakowski); her siblings, Mary Resutek (Joe), Frances Polakowski, Anna Rapcinski (Anthony), Pauline Senko (Michael), Carrie Ray (Ben), Eleanor Polakowski, Joseph Polakowski, William Polakowski (Helen) and Frank Polakowski; and her siblings-in-law, William J. Polakowski and Frances Polakowski.
She is survived by: her husband Walter J. "Walt" Barbish; her children, Allan Barbish (Judy), Brian Barbish (Lisa), Cindy Sewall (Bob) and Sandy Puckett (Brian); and her grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, Lauren, Andrew, Nathan (Abby), Sarah, Jeremy and Jessica. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home (23720 Farmington Rd, Farmington, MI 48336). A rosary will be held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 9:30 AM and at 10:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (46325 W 10 Mile Rd, Novi, MI 48374).
