He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Curnutte and Mary Curnutte. He is survived by: his wife Emmy; his pet Belle; his children, Dennis A. Jr. (Lisa Cavins) and Laura Franzeca (Michael); and his sister Diane Weir.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Michigan Humane Society.
