He is survived by: his wife Joann LaValley; his brother Edward LaValley (Dee) of Richmond; his children, David LaValley of Vassar, Jeffrey LaValley of North Branch, Daniel LaValley (Kellie) of Lapeer, Brian LaValley (Faith) of North Branch, James LaValley (Angie) of San Diego and Jodi Zinser (Craig) of Clarkston; his grandchildren, Kyle LaValley, Scott LaValley, Andrea Ferris (Matt), Adam LaValley, Alexandria Burch (Andrew), Samantha LaValley, Hannah LaValley, Luke LaValley, Noah LaValley and Susanna LaValley; and his great grandchildren, Jackson Ferris and Kennedy Ferris.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Dick's name to the Seven Ponds Nature Center in Dryden, Michigan.
