He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Catlin and Margaret Catlin (Proctor); his sisters, Nada Duchane, Janet Davis and Margie Hurley (Patricia); and his grandson Nathan Macklin.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Bortel; his children, Kimberly Cooper (James) of Brown City, Mark Catlin (Christine) of Homer and Debbie Rousseau of Chestertown, Maryland; his grandchildren, Wesley Catlin, Stephen Macklin, Galerie Rousseau, Phillip Macklin (Sarah), Levi Catlin, Lillian Dawkins (Jordan), Leslie Richardson (Cheyenne) and Miles Catlin; and his brother Jerry Catlin (Shirley) of Lapeer. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
