He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thompson and Myrtle Thompson (Spencer); his wife Muriel; his son Jimmy; and his siblings, Heloise Klauka, Ardis Turner, Asa Thompson, Annabelle Rachow, Bill Thompson, Melvin Thompson, Spencer Thompson, Mary Rocco and Marge Hagemiester.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lori Hawthorne (David) of Clarkston and Lisa Suuppi (Bill) of Lapeer; his grandchildren, Curtis Suuppi (Christine) of Lapeer and Corie Little (Dean Tyler) of Cass City; his great grandchildren, Adelaide, Everly and Lander; and his sister Mae Schlaud of Lapeer.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Rising Christian Church, the American Red Cross or McLaren Hospice.
