He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kessler and Eva Kessler (Morton); and his son Roy Allen Kessler. He is survived by: his wife Mary Kay Kessler; and his children, Brenda Webb (George), Barbara Moore (Rocky), Missy Bruce (Will), Ira Scott Kessler (Stephanie), Penny Gamble (Allen) and Randy Kessler. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
