We bid farewell to Willie Mae Velez of Niles, Michigan, born in Bradford, Arkansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 15, 2024 at the age of 90. Willie Mae touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Allen and Fannie Allen (Acklin); her husband Francisco Padin Velez of Isabela; her daughter Belinda Miller (Velez); her great grandchild Jalynn Velez; and her siblings, Lola Ramsey (Allen), Raymond Allen, Irene Ritchie (Allen), Opal Taylor (Allen), Lois Erickson (Allen), Marie Lashlee (Allen), Buster Allen, James Allen, Leoda Candelaria (Allen) and El Wanda Sparks (Allen).
She is survived by: her sons, Nathan Velez (Tess) of Edwardsburg, Anthony Velez (Lisa) of Three Rivers and Alan Velez (MaLinda) of New Buffalo, Michigan; and her grandchildren, Heather Fraley (Michael) of Chandler, Brian Velez of Scottsdale, Brandon Miller (Brittni) of Maricopa, Michelle Wadsworth (Jason) of Portage, Chris Velez of Edwardsburg, Matthew Velez of Three Rivers and Andrea Spradlin (Craig) of Edwardsburg. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, and many, many nieces and nephews.
