He was predeceased by: his parents, Nuella Sinagra and William Writer. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Writer (Jenkins); his sons, Wade Writer (Betsy) and Jared Writer; his grandsons, Anthony and Nicholas; his sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Liebenberg (Jeromee) and Nancy Sue Gelose (Jay); his niece Jackie Toroni; and his nephew Ben Liebenberg.
