He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Starrett and Delia Starrett (Wesaw); his children, Michael Starrett, Donna Wesaw and Lawanda Wesaw; and his siblings, Lyle Starrett, Howard Starrett, Audrey Huston, Philomena Starrett and Loretta Starrett.

He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Huston; his son Ervin "Butch" Starrett (Tina); and his grandchildren, Shannon Lockeer (Jennifer), Ervin Starrett, Jr., Christine Peirce, Christina Barger (Eric Franch), Douglas Barger and Corey Wade. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
