He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his sisters, Alma Jenkins of Chicago, IL and Carolyn Gaston of Birmingham, AL; and his children, Debra Watts Collins of Pleasant Grove, AL, Dwight Watts of Birmingham, AL, Evoir Barns of Birmingham, AL, Anthony of Birmingham, AL, Andre (Lisa) of Chicago, IL and Preston Jr. of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
