It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lela Louise Burns of Niles, Michigan, who passed away on November 22, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carroll Brown and Maggie Bell Brown (Rose); her grandchildren, Anthony Belich and Melissa Barclay; and her sister Lucille Fowler.
She is survived by: her husband Billy Gene Burns; her children, Margie Milewski (Mike) of South Bend, Patsy Onderdonk of Arkansas, Charlotte Barclay (Roger) of South Bend, Brenda Pierce of Niles, Sandra Nolan (Brooks) of Arkansas, William Burns (Carol Zernick) and David Mikel Burns; and her siblings, Callie Casteel (Austin) of Arkansas, Carroll Brown, Jr. (Nancy) of Arkansas and George Jimmy Brown (Brenda) of Arkansas. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; 9 great great-grandchildren.
