With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Guadalupe A. Castaneda Sr. of Niles, Michigan, born in Harlingen, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roberto Castaneda and Louisa Castaneda; his granddaughter Sierra Klees; his great grandchild Ahnnaliyah Klees; and his brother Luis Castaneda.
He is survived by: his wife Irma Castaneda of Niles; his children, Aida Castaneda of Dowagiac, Guadalupe Castaneda, Jr. (Kamoka) of Dowagiac and Jimmy Castaneda of Terre Haute, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Christina Castaneda of Benton Harbor, Matthew Klees of Michigan, Joshua Taggart (Brandy) of Indian Lake, Nathan Klees of Kalamazoo, Tyler Collins of Chicago, Katie Pond (Darren) of Battle Creek, Marissa Allen (Nick) of Dowagiac, Makaela Castaneda of Dowagiac and Caleigh Castaneda. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Halbritter Wickens Funeral Services (615 E Main St, Niles, MI 49120). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family prefers contributions in memory of Guadalupe be made to Halbritter Wickens Funeral Services, 615 East Main Street, Niles, Michigan 49120, to assist the family in defraying expenses.
