He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell S. Westphal and Jeanne E. Westphal (Boersma); his daughters, Annie Block and Chris Carter; and his siblings, Mary Patterson, Larry Westphal and Sharon Hand.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen (Fletcher); his children, Vicki Divane of Niles and Justene Tatroe of Three Rivers; his grandchildren, Addie Sprinkle (Brandon), Katie Long (Matt), Darson Carter (Mikayla), James Carter, Chad Beck (Laurie), Corey Beck (Samantha Combs), Dacey Divane and Finnigan Divane; and his great grandchildren, Galileo Long, Liam Baker, Serenity Baker, Christine Baker, Daxyn Carter, Carson Beck, Brycen Beck, Aubree Beck and Brinzlee Beck. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
