He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Brant and Dora Brant; his wife Florence Edna Burnett; his granddaughters, Misty Dawn and Laura Anne Brant; his siblings, Kathy Kiggins, Robert Brant, Bud Brant and Johnny Brant; and his son-in-law Terry Pettie.
He is survived by: his children, Doree Pettie of Niles, Kim Rodenhiser (Scott) of Osceola, Indiana, Scott Brant of Niles and Kenny Brant of Buchanan; and his siblings, Dorothy Coward-Libey of Niles and Jack Duane Brant of Land O' Lakes, Florida. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren.
