She was predeceased by: her parents, William Commins and Jennie Commins; and her siblings, Frances Helms, Minnie Owens, Ernie Commins, Charles Commins, Edwin Commins and Harry Commins.
She is survived by: her children, Vala Brandon (Jeff) of Niles and Robert Commins of Niles; her granddaughters, Jennifer Nguyen (Toan), Patricia Wheeler (Shannon) and Amanda Kwist; her great grandchildren, Reagan Nguyen, Griffin Nguyen and Charlie Wheeler; and her sisters, Mary Gallimore of Nappanee and Delores Hoopcaugh of Watervilet, Michigan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
