He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred T. Kelley and Clela Kelley (Colburn); his daughter Sharon Rose Johnson; his son-in-law Asa A. Johnson, Jr.; and his siblings, Bud Buford Hightower (Rose), Charles Horace Kelly and Nell Davis (Al).
He is survived by: his children, Kitty Paich (Tony) of Detroit and Doug Kelley, Jr. (Theresa); his grandchildren, Katrina Paich and Kristian Lee (Steven); his wife Mary J. Thompson; his sons, James Kelly of Niles and Michael Kelly of Niles; his grandchildren, Asa A. Johnson III (Kelly Matthews), Samantha Kay Johnson (James Williams) and Angela Janine Johnson (Cheryl Masterman); his great grandchildren, Mable Johnson, Asa A. Johnson IV, Joshua DeWitt and Ayden Johnson; his sister-in-law Barbara Kelley (Charles) of South Bend, Indiana; and his close friend Virginia Kujawa.
