He is survived by: his wife Dixie Welch; his granddaughter Tamisha Carroll (Lavonta Henry); his great grandchildren, Heaven Lou Carroll and Yamari Allen Carroll; his daughter Donna Knight; and his siblings, Karen Echevarria (Virjilio) of Niles and Ron Blevins of Niles. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
